Google Affiliate Network – Will it Change the Way You Advertise?

If you read my previous article on Google constructing a quiet affiliate network, you’d be in for a surprise. It appears to be the my prediction of Google moving into affiliate networks was right. Allow me to explain.
Google had purchased over DoubleClick a while back. PPA Network had an affiliate system known as”Connect Commerce”. Google now announced to its AdWords advertisers that they’ll be phasing out PPA at the conclusion of August and rather advertisers can now look to advertise on the Google Affiliate Network.
If you are new to affiliate marketing Here’s a Fast synopsis:
Its an everyday cold cream.
2) Tim using various advertising techniques like PPC, SEO etc., but wishes to sell more.
3) He is about to pay upto 20% of the sale value to anybody who will market it for him.
4) Jill on the other hand, does not have a item, but she is great in advertising. She’s seeking to promote other people’s products.
7) Both Tim and Jill triumph.
It follows that almost any AdWords advertiser currently has the opportunity to tap into the massive power of affiliate advertising without the hassles normally associated with it, like recruiting dozens of affiliates, tracking every sale and action, accounting them appropriately and finally paying them. Is whole (and rather cumbersome and at times painful) process of affiliate marketing was removed by Google with its new offering.
I’ve had reasonable success with PPA campaigns and its set for far better. I will be keeping a close eye on it for one to let you know how the Google Affiliate Network is shaping up.
